TYPES OF QUESTIONS
For this test, each student will be asked to submit three possible questions that could be included on the test (using the guidelines above). I will choose from these questions in helping to create your test. Think carefully about the questions you submit!
THINGS TO KNOW:
- Vocabulary: landforms, core, mantle, crust, plate tectonics, continental drift, climate, river systems, natural phenomena, natural vegetation, dendritic drainage, trellis drainage, drainage basin, altitude
- Landform Patterns (Lesson 2)
- The layers of the earth
- Continental drift and the separation of the continents (Geography Journal 1)
- Plate tectonics and what happens when plates collide (the creation of mountains and volcanoes)
- Types of Landforms (Lesson 3 and Lesson 4)
- Choose one of: volcanoes, fold mountains, ancient shields or plains and lowlands and explain how it is formed, examples, and how it impacts human lives
- Natural Phenomena (Lesson 5)
- Choose either tornadoes or powerful tropical storms and answer the questions: What are some examples? How are they formed? How are they measured? How do they affect human lives?

- What are the 6 factors that affect climate? Which factors affect Mount Albert?

- What is a drainage basin?
- Draw and explain two types of river drainage patterns?
- How do rivers affect humans?
- Natural Vegetation (Lesson 9)
- What is natural vegetation? What are some purposes for natural vegetation (what does it do?)
- Explain two factors that affect natural vegetation
