What is the Human Age?
Diane Ackerman, novelist, says that this is the first time in history that a species has changed the face of the planet in the way that humans have changed our world. She calls this time period "The Human Age", an age where humans hold the power to either save or destroy the earth.
In this unit, we will explore the impact that humans have had and continue to have on our environment, and will look at the question of sustainability. Why is creating a sustainable world so important, and how can we achieve this? The answers lay with you. |
